                           System requirements
                           ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
System requirements:

386, 486, Pentium, Pentium Pro or higher microprocessor
HINT: If you have a 286, try the game on it anyways, but be warned:
it will be extremely slow.
640 KB RAM, VGA graphics card
11 MB free hard disk space (5 MB for installation, and an additional 6 MB
free space at all times when playing the game.)

Supported sound cards:

Gravis UltraSound, Sound Blaster 1.x, Sound Blaster 2.x, Sound Blaster Pro,
Sound Blaster 16, Pro AudioSpectrum or 100% compatible sound cards.
(NO OTHER SOUND DEVICE SUPPORTED)

IMPORTANT: You should try to make some expanded memory (EMS) available
(at least 256KB). If you're running the game in Windows 95, this is done
automatically, so you don't have to worry about it.

Recommended system configuration:

Intel 486DX2-66, 8 MegaBytes of RAM
Gravis UltraSound or Sound Blaster 16
Microsoft Windows 95

If you do not have Windows 95, activate SmartDrive if you can.

Sorry, this program was not tested on many computers, but
theoretically, it should work on most systems within the system
requirements specifications.

        Installing the game
        ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
To install the game, if you haven't already, follow these steps:

Insert disk 1 of the game into your disk drive.
Type A:INSTALL (or B:INSTALL if B: is your disk drive) and press Enter.
Enter the full path (Drive and directory) to install the game to
(Example: C:\CDM\) and press Enter. The recommended path is C:\CDM\
When you are asked to do so, insert the next disk and press a key
to continue. When the files finish copying, you will be asked to
select your sound card. Choose none if you don't have any.

Type CDM to start the game. A title screen will appear. Press a key to begin.

NOTE: The game runs perfectly under Windows 95, probably on Windows 3.x as
well. An icon is provided (CDM.ICO) for the program in windows.

        Playing the game
        ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The game is easy to play. To move forward, press the up arrow.
To move backwards, press the down arrow. To turn left 90 degrees, press
the left arrow. To turn right 90 degrees, press the right arrow. If there
is something to be done in the direction you are looking at, press Enter.
The action will then be accomplished (for example, somebody may talk to
you or something might move). If you are given choices, press the key
corresponding to the choice you wish to select. If there is a tiny
blinking rectangle at the bottom right corner of the screen, the game is
waiting for you to press a key.

NOTE: When you move forward or backward, you will often be asked questions.
To answer these questions, press the key that corresponds to the answer.
Every time you answer a question well, you gain one point. Every time
you answer it wrong, you lose one point: this way, you can have negative
points. You must have an average of 81.25% to win the game.

TIP: When the game begins, the music volume is not at
its maximum. To increase music quality, you should higher
the music volume, but this will make it hard for you

HINT: Press Enter everywhere you look at. You might have some surprise
reserved. Also, try to walk everywhere you look at. You might be surprised
by this too.
